Animals in Research

Goal:

To gain basic understanding of the roles and benefits of animals in research.

Description:

Information on roles of animals in research and the benefits different species have provided to humans through research. Students will analyze the policies, laws, and regulations concerning animal research. Students will also learn about animal research supporters, founders and activists.

Objectives:

1. To examine the role of animals in research.

2. To discover the benefits different species have provided to humans through research.

3. To analyze the policies, laws and regulations concerning animal research.

4. To identify animal research supporters, founders and activists.

Assignments:

Assignments will be posted on the Small Animal Management Google Classroom, under the “Assignments” topic of the “Classwork” tab. Please pay attention to all due dates, which will be posted on the assignments along with the instructions for the assignment.
